July approvals fell. That is not the same as your programme falling.
ABS figures for July 2026 showed fewer dwellings approved than in June. For a subcontractor the useful question is not the headline. It is which packages are actually funded to start.

August commentary returned to a simple point: Australia can approve more homes than it can currently build. The constraint sits in crews, completions and the jobs those crews are already on.

July 2026 figures for the Key Apprenticeship Program showed 32,563 apprentices in housing construction after the first full year. Most are with small businesses. The next number that matters is how many finish.
